The 2024-25 Kolot Mayim Lecture Series, Kvell at the Well, starts on November 3 at 11 am with Rabbi Liz P.G. Hirsch, whose talk is titled “Just For This Moment: Stepping Up to Lead.”
Rabbi Liz P.G. Hirsch, CEO of Women of Reform Judaism, is a trailblazer in the Jewish community. Her talk will draw from her wealth of experience and insight into women’s leadership. Rabbi Hirsch hosts the popular weekly podcast, “Just For This,” where she invites women leaders to discuss their journeys, challenges, and triumphs.
Rabbi Hirsch previously served as Rabbi of Temple Anshe Amunim in Pittsfield, MA. She was ordained at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, where she was honored as a Wexner Graduate Fellow, a Tisch Fellow, and a WRJ Scholar. Rabbi Hirsch was the founding co-chair of RAC Massachusetts and serves on the National Council of Jewish Women’s Rabbis for Repro Rabbinic Advisory Council. She played a key role in the 2020 campaign to pass the ROE Act in Massachusetts.
A prolific writer on social justice, spiritual practice, and trends in Jewish life, Rabbi Hirsch has contributed chapters to recent publications including The Social Justice Torah Commentary (CCAR Press, 2021) and Prophetic Voices: Renewing and Reimagining Haftarah (CCAR Press, 2023).
