I can almost imagine the anticipation of Jews of millennia ago, walking towards the Temple for the Yomtovim, looking forward to seeing friends and family, bringing precious fruits and gifts with them. The days are hot and dusty, the roadways filled with people all heading uphill to Jerusalem. Anticipation tempered with tiredness. Children run like little goats, and parents trust each other to keep an eye out.
These days ahead will be challenging for many of us; we all need to keep an eye and an ear out for each other. Teshuvah is calling. We want to reach out – but maybe, not yet. We want to reach in – but feel unsure, a little lost. Where am I? Where is God? Where am I going? So many questions and so few answers. To whom do I return?

I am really looking forward to seeing all of you during these coming weeks at our Yomtov services, at Tashlich, welcoming strangers and stalwarts into our little shul. As always, I invite you to come to our services, listen, sing a little, rest your soul amongst others. We are all headed to Yerushalayim.
Much love,
Rabbi Lynn
