Pesach Sheini

Pesach is over, but is it? We have another opportunity in our tradition, Pesach Sheini, for those who could not sit with family and friends at Seder. May this be the year that the hostages are finally home, and can say with their loved ones, Vehi sheamda.

This year Pesach Sheini will be observed on May 12, 14 Iyar. Even if we observed Pesach, we try to eat matzah on this day. This day is our ‘second chance’ – that foundational second chance that teshuvah is built upon, that our relationships with each other depend upon. So please save some of your matzah for May 12. Gratitude: I want to thank everyone who helped set up for our Seder and those who participated in leading songs, playing music, serving and cleaning up the room afterwards.

Thank you to Lorne Mitchell for figuring out how we can have a virtually cordless room during services, whilst maximizing participation both in-person and over Zoom. This has enabled us to reconfigure our space. And thank you to Sam Margolis for learning a new system for set up.

Thank you to Devorah Gillard for taking over Oneg/Kiddush duties from the very capable hands of Carolyn Canny. And thank you Carolyn for overseeing and providing help not only to Devorah but also to Jan Mitchell who is assuming membership duties.

Am Yisroel Chai.

Wishing all long life, healthy life, a good life,
With deep love,
Rabbi Lynn
